LIFE SETTLEMENT SOLUTIONS NAMES GREGORY JOHN SCHMITT EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Former Prudential Executive Added as Life Settlement Solutions Continues Growth

SAN DIEGO – July 15, 2004 – Life Settlement Solutions Inc., has announced the appointment of former Prudential executive Gregory John Schmitt as the company's executive vice president and chief operations officer.
"Greg brings a quarter–century of life insurance, technology and operations expertise to Life Settlement Solutions," said Larry Simon, president of Life Settlement Solutions. " Greg will help us continue to be a pioneer in this industry."
According to Simon, Schmitt will be responsible for the executive management of day–to–day operations, as well as business planning, financial analysis, long–term strategy, performance assessment, facilities oversight and general management of the company.
"Life Settlement Solutions and its management have a long and prestigious history as a life settlement pioneer. The company has established many of the rules, regulations and practices that are now industry standards," said Schmitt. "I'm looking forward to being part of the Life Settlement Solutions team and educating our brokers and their agents about the benefits of working with this great company."
Schmitt previously served as territorial vice president for The Prudential Insurance Company of America. Schmitt began his 24–year tenure with Prudential as a sales agent and rose through the ranks to assume several management positions. In addition to oversight of insurance sales and financial planning services at Prudential, Schmitt's management responsibilities included training and development of the company's production and management personnel, organizational development, business planning, expense management, profit and loss responsibility, and contributing to the development of the company's technology platform.
While employed by Prudential, Schmitt held California resident insurance producer licenses as a life agent, variable contracts agent, and fire and casualty broker–agent. He was also a registered representative and registered principal associated with Pruco Securities, LLC, a Prudential affiliate company.
