SAN DIEGO – June 1, 2006 –Life Settlements Solutions, Inc. officially launches Life Settlement Awareness Month™ with an educational webinar, covering important industry topics and sales strategies designed to boost summer
The webinar titled “Life Settlements – The Fundamentals,” the first
of several Life Settlement Awareness Month events, was successfully conducted today. The webinar was heavily attended and received overwhelmingly positive feedback, according to Larry Simon, president and CEO, Life Settlement Solutions, Inc.
The webinar covered several educational topics, including an overview of
the life settlement industry, case studies, how to select a life settlement provider or broker, and the current state of life settlement regulation.

“A recent industry survey shows that nearly 80 percent of insurance agents have never transacted a life settlement merely because of lack of education,” said Simon. “Life Settlement Awareness Month and its related activities, including webinars and sales tactics are designed to unlock the doors for those looking to be a part of this dynamic industry.”
As part of the month-long industry awareness event, today also marks the launch of Life Settlement Solutions’ proposed a six–step strategy to boost summer sales activities, a traditionally slow time for insurance sales, for
agents and brokers working with clients eligible for life settlement.
The six-step sales concept is outlined in detail at www.lifesettlementawarenessmonth.com, where agents and brokers can learn strategies to improve customer relationships and sales activities during the next three months.
To further educate agents and brokers on the life settlement industry,
Life Settlement Solutions will host additional webinar events on June 20 at 10:30 a.m. PDT and June 29 at 10:30 a.m. PDT that cover more advanced subject matters.
These classes, titled “Life Settlements– Advanced Strategies,” will cover topics such as detailed case studies, the transaction process, industry trends, regulation and advanced planning strategies.
Participants are encouraged to submit questions during all webinar events, which will be answered by Life Settlement Solutions’ panel of experts, including Simon, Gregory Schmitt, CLU, executive vice president and chief operations officer, and Kurt Gillhaus, CLU, ChFC, vice president of marketing.
The webinars are designed as educational resources for insurance and settlement industry professionals, and are not for use by consumers or the general public.
