Topics During Life Settlement Awareness Month

Many financial professionals interested in life settlements
are hesitant to enter the growing industry due to a lack of access
to quality education on the marketplace.
On June 12, Life Settlement Solutions, Inc. hosted Advanced Strategies:
Market and Regulatory Trends in Life Settlements, its first advanced
topics webinar as part of Life Settlement Awareness Month™. The
webinar, which focused on current trends affecting the life-settlement
market, attracted more than 150 interested financial professionals.
Advanced
Strategies: Market and Regulatory Trends in Life Settlements provided
comprehensive information on changes associated with growing market
volume, market segments and premium financing, including the increase
in less traditional professionals entering the industry and sources
of institutional investment capital. The session also covered
mortality and life expectancy trends and provided an overview of
the regulatory atmosphere of the marketplace, with a focus on the
National Association of Insurance Commissioners and National Conference
of Insurance Legislators’ Model Acts.

than half of respondents questioned as part of Agent Media’s
recent 2008 Life Settlement Study stated they have yet to work with
life settlements because of a need for more knowledge about the transactions,” said Larry

first advanced session was geared toward increasing the financial
professionals’ understanding of important life-settlements
topics, such as the changing regulatory atmosphere and the increase
in market capital.”
