Life Settlement Awareness Month™ to Feature Nationally Approved Continuing-Education Course
Course to Provide a Review of Life Settlements and the Secondary Market

The life-settlement industry has continued to grow over the years, not only increasing
the number of financial professionals entering the marketplace, but also bringing to light the need
for quality education.
To help provide financial professionals access to educational tools,
Life Settlement Solutions, Inc. is presenting one of the first continuing-education
courses certified in all 50 states for life insurance licensing continuing
education credits. Offered as part of Life Settlement Awareness
Month™, the approved course will provide participants
with a comprehensive look at life settlements, as well as information
on how to begin working in the secondary market. The course
may be worth up to eight credit hours of life insurance licensing
continuing education, so financial professionals who participate
should contact their individual states to verify the number of approved
credit hours.
The course is made possible through a partnership between Life Settlement
Solutions and WebCE, an insurance continuing-education
provider (http://www.webce.com/). Participants in the course will have access to all course materials,
including textbooks that can be printed off the Internet or shipped
within 24 hours via UPS. Course fees will vary by state.
Participants who complete the course will have gained
a thorough understanding of the secondary market for life insurance. Covered topics will
include historical information about life settlements, the transaction process, key parties involved,
requirements associated with life settlements and when a life settlement is appropriate
or inappropriate. It will also present information on how
life settlements can benefit consumers and financial professionals,
working with a broker or provider, sources of institutional capital
and benefits for investors, and where to find more information
on the life settlement industry.
In addition the continuing-education course, Life Settlement
Awareness Month will include a number of other events for financial
professionals with all levels of industry experience. Life
Settlement Solutions will host a series of webinars during the
month, including “Life Settlement – The Fundamentals” and
two different “Life Settlement – Advanced Strategies” sessions. The
month will also include a new investor-geared session focusing
on the risks and rewards of investing in life settlements, as
well as Web-based panels featuring knowledgeable insurance industry
figures and Life Settlement Solutions hosted workshops at major
industry events.
