SAN DIEGO – June 18, 2007 – As agents and brokers continue in
their quest for the latest information regarding life settlements during Life Settlement Awareness Month,™ Life
Settlement Solutions, Inc. – the creator and event host – is offering a webcast featuring industry leaders.
Brian Casey of Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP, Steve Walker of 21 st Services, and Roscoe Smith of Agent Media Corp., all of
whom are experienced professionals in the life-settlement industry, will present at a free-of-charge webcast on June 19 at
10:30 a.m. PST.
Casey is an attorney and partner in the financial services and insurance practice group of the Atlanta
office of Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP. He is a co-founder of the Life Insurance Finance Association, a board member of the
Life Insurance Settlement Association, and he organized and chaired the first annual Life Insurance Premium Finance
Symposium.
Walker is chief operating officer and one of the founders of 21 st Services – a life expectancy underwriter –
located in Minneapolis. He has more than 12 years of experience in the viatical and life-settlement industry, starting his
career with a large Midwest American viatical provider.
Smith, who is CEO of Agent Media Corp., which publishes
Agent’s Sales Journal and Insurance Marketing Magazine, has more than 25 years’ experience
in the publishing industry. Agent’s Sales Journal’s annual survey of agents and brokers is an insightful
and revealing look at current perceptions of the life-settlement market.
The purpose of Life Settlement Awareness
Month is to increase the awareness and knowledge of life settlements as well as to offer top-of-the-line marketing support,
training and industry expertise to assist in improving producer activity during summer – a traditionally slow life
insurance sales activity time of the year.
During June, a series of webinars are being hosted to educate agents and
brokers, including “Life Settlements – The Fundamentals” and “Life Settlements – Advanced
Strategies.” The webinars are free-of-charge and attendees are encouraged to sign up early, as space is limited.
