SAN DIEGO – June 11, 2007 – Though many insurance agents want
to use life settlements as a means of meeting the financial-planning needs of senior clients, they are often challenged in
finding ways to source life settlement business and do not know how to develop an effective practice.
Throughout June’s Life Settlement Awareness Month, Life Settlement Solutions – the creator and presenter of
Life Settlement Awareness Month – is offering a
seven-step strategy to boost summer insurance sales
activities, a traditionally slow sales time for insurance agents and brokers working with clients eligible for
life settlements. By implementing these strategies, agents and brokers can improve customer relationships and sales
activities during the next three months.
Also, through June a series of webinars will be held for professionals
of all experience levels – from a fundamentals course, to an advanced strategies course, to an interactive panel
with key industry figures. The webinars are free-of-charge and attendees are encouraged to sign up early, as space is
limited.
On June 26 at 10:30 a.m. PST, a life settlements fundamentals webinar will cover several educational topics, including
an overview of the life-settlement industry, how to select a life-settlement provider or broker, and the current state
of life-settlement regulation.
In addition, on June 28 at 10:30 a.m. PST, an advanced strategies in life settlements
webinar will cover case studies, the transaction process, industry trends and regulation, and advanced planning strategies.
Brian Casey of Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP, Steve Walker of 21 st Services, and Roscoe Smith of Agent Media Corp., who are
experienced professionals in the life-settlement industry, will also present at a free-of-charge webcast on June 19 at 10:30
a.m. PST.
As part of Life Settlement Awareness Month, Life Settlement Solutions is also offering one of the first
certified continuing-education courses on life settlements, covering fundamental and advanced topics. The course has currently
been approved in nearly 40 states for three-to-eight continuing education units for life licensing. The course is pending
approval in the remainder of the states. An up-to-date map of states in which the course has been approved, as well as details
regarding signing up for the course, can be found on the
Life Settlement Awareness Month Web site.
In addition, Life Settlement Solutions will be presenting this course at the MDRT annual meeting being held in Denver,
Colorado. The workshop will take place on June 12, 12:30 p.m., in the Colorado Convention Center Exhibit Hall.
